1. Data controller

The controller of your data is WeTech, Learning, Technology & AI, based in Popayán, Cauca, Colombia. You can reach us at the email address listed in the contact section of this policy.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address and profile picture when you sign up with email or sign in with Google, Microsoft or GitHub.
• Contact data: name, email, institution and message when you use the contact form.
• Participation data: enrollments in courses, events and newsletters, and your progress on the platform.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and the cookies needed to keep your session and the site secure.

3. Use of Google, Microsoft and GitHub data

When you sign in with Google, Microsoft or GitHub we only receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use them solely to create your account, identify you when you sign in and contact you about the services you request.

We do not access your emails, files, contacts or any other information in those accounts. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising or share it with third parties, except with the technical providers listed in this policy. WeTech's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Purposes

• Create and manage your account and give you access to the platform.
• Manage enrollments in courses, workshops, events and newsletters.
• Answer your requests and send you communications related to the services you asked for.
• Send you educational news only if you agree; you can unsubscribe at any time.
• Improve the security and performance of the site.

5. Providers that help us deliver the service

To run the site we use providers that process data on our behalf under their own security measures: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (site hosting) and Resend (email delivery). Some of them may store data outside Colombia, always with adequate levels of protection.

6. Retention and security

We keep your data while your account is active or while it is needed for the purposes described. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, such as encrypted connections and access control, to protect your information.

7. Your rights

As the data subject you may, at any time:

• Access, update and correct your personal data.
• Request proof of the authorization you gave us.
• Be informed about how we use your data.
• Revoke your authorization and request the deletion of your data and your account.
• File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) of Colombia.

8. How to exercise your rights

Email us at the contact address with the subject "Data protection". We will answer inquiries within 10 business days and claims within 15 business days, as required by law.

9. Minors

Our services are mainly intended for adults and institutions. Minors may use the platform only with the authorization of their legal guardian.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version and its update date will always be published here, and we will notify you by email of any significant changes.
